Bissens skulptur kaldes i folkemunde Diana (alias jagtens gudinde) og regnes blandt kunstnerens betydeligste værker. I skulpturen forenes den ældre klassicistiske tradition med tidens naturalistiske nybrud. Skulpturen blev opsat i 1940 i forbindelse med Forskønnelsesforeningens 50-års jubilæum.

Bissen’s sculpture is usually known as Diana (goddess of the hunt). The figure, which was created
in 1890, is considered among the principal works of this artist. In the sculpture, the older classicist
tradition is joined with the new departure of naturalism of the time.
